Meet Ms. Gina, Owner/Operator
Gina is married with three grown children and has lived in Ferndale with her family since 1992. In 1996, Gina opened Busy Kids so she could stay at home with her youngest son and go back to her nursing job at the hospital when he was big enough to walk and talk. Her youngest son is now 27 and Busy Kids is still here! Working with children and their families has remained Gina's passion over the years and is still true to this day. Gina earned her CDA degree (Child Development Associate) in 2004, recently earned a degree in ECE (Early Childhood Education) and has been working in early childhood education for more than 25 years now. Outside of Busy Kids, Gina enjoys spending time with her family, walking along the beach with her husband, taking her dogs for walks, and enjoying her chickens.
Meet Miss Cora, Lead Teacher
Cora loves working with children and has been doing so for years. On top of working in childcare, she has also worked in a children's museum where she found the philosophy around children playing to learn and learning while playing. While at Busy Kids, Cora has recently been accepted at Spokane Falls Community College to further her studies in ECE. Outside of work, she enjoys rock finding at the beach, crocheting, painting, and going on adventures with her partner and dog.
Meet Ms. Kiran, Teacher
Kiran is originally from India. She also lived in Canada for quite some time before moving to the United States. Kiran really enjoys working with children. She has two adult children of her own and lots of nieces and nephews that she loves spending time with. Kiran is looking into furthering her education in early childhood education soon. Outside of work, Kiran loves spending time with her family, going on weekend trips, being at the beach, and vacationing.
Meet Mr. Art, Teacher
Art is Ms. Gina's husband. He works as a meat cutter during the day and often helps out at Busy Kids in the afternoons. He has been working with kids for over 20 years and used to coach football and basketball for Ferndale schools. Outside of Busy Kids, Art enjoys spending time with his family, DIY projects, working in the yard, camping, and "walks on the beach with my beautiful wife."
